Scappoose Rural Fire Protection District (SRFPD) follows the Civil Service System for all career hiring opportunities and we utilize the National Testing Network (NTN).  Scappoose Rural Fire Protection District offers full testing services for the position of Part-time Firefighter/EMT and Part-time Firefighter/Paramedic through NTN.  To register with NTN and schedule a test, go to www.nationaltestingnetwork.com, select "Find Jobs', then select Firefighter/EMT or Firefighter/Paramedic jobs and sign up for Scappoose Rural Fire Protection District.

• Complete the NTN registration process and schedule your test.

•  Review all information related to Scappoose Rural Fire Protection District's Firefighter/EMT or Firefighter/Paramedic positions, including minimum requirements, salary, and benefits.

• Review detailed information about the testing process.

• Review the Frequently Asked Questions and take an online practice test (if desired).  

• Upon completion of your scheduled exam, scores are automatically forwarded to SRF

• PD.  Candidates who attain a passing score on the entry-level exam will be placed on SRFPD's eligibility list.  SRFPD will contact candidates on the list and will invite them to participate in further stages of the selection process.  

• NTN is a service provided to conduct entry-level testing in a standardized, professional environment.  NTN does not replace Scappoose Rural Fire Protection District's responsibility and decision-making in the testing process.  All candidate's results are provided to SRFPD where the final decisions are made.
